Lukashenko stresses preparation for harvest campaign, equipment readiness

Regarding the current situation in agriculture, Alexander Lukashenko focused on preparations for the harvest campaign, particularly on the operation of expensive machinery and assigning qualified specialists to it.

"The harvest is decent, and it needs to be collected. Given the good harvest and high grain yields, we must seriously prepare for this (harvest campaign)," emphasized the Head of State.

"In just a week or ten days, harvesting will begin not only for rapeseed but also for winter barley — the crops we were counting on. All combines must be operational," the President demanded. "It's a crime if combines are not repaired." Lukashenko reminded of his requirement that each modern, expensive combine must have specific responsible individuals assigned, including workers specially brought in for the harvest season from industrial enterprises.

"People should have already been assigned to each combine, no matter where the agricultural enterprises are located—even if in space. One person or a family crew per combine—let them get it ready. They should be prepared to go into the fields in a week. This is very important," emphasized the President.

"And naturally, we must also complete the preparation of grass forage. We must not forget about this either," he added.
