Lukashenko: Tank troops have always been distinguished by bravery and courage

Belarusian President congratulated veteran tankers, servicemen of mechanized units, tank military units and divisions of the Armed Forces, and tank repair enterprises on Tanker Day.

"Tank troops have always been distinguished by bravery, courage, and fortitude. It was the tank forces that played a key role in the liberation of the republic during the strategic offensive operation 'Bagration' and the final defeat of the German-Fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War," he said.

The head of state noted that the young generation of defenders of the Motherland faithfully preserves and enhances the traditions of front-line soldiers, persistently improves combat skills, and that the tank units of the Armed Forces, equipped with modernized models of armored and tank equipment and weapons, are a reliable link in the system of ensuring military security of the state.

"I am confident that tank troops will continue to reliably stand guard for peace, protecting the sovereignty and independence of the Fatherland, serving as an example of devoted service to their country and people."

Alexander Lukashenko wished tank troops and their families happiness, prosperity, and continued military success for the good of their native Belarus.
