Lukashenko to farm leaders: Manage harvest in the field, not from the office

The head of state separately addressed crimes identified by the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the harvest season. The main ones are theft of fuel and lubricants, misappropriation of components and spare parts, bribery. Also, 150 workers were found to be intoxicated.

"Falsifications have been found in operational reports on the readiness of equipment and grain drying complexes. The prosecutor's office has identified 41 cases across the country where equipment was ready for operation only on paper. Such cases have been identified in 25 districts of Brest, Minsk and Mogilev regions," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. "In my opinion, one of the reasons is that some leaders have not fully grasped the simple truth — harvest operations must be managed in the field, not from the office window."
