M6 Highway Among Belarus's Most Dangerous Due to Animal Collisions

The M6 highway has entered the top three most dangerous roads in Belarus due to accidents involving wild animals. In less than a year, over 3,600 animals were hit by vehicles. More than 90% of the accidents involved moose and roe deer. Only the M4 and M1 highways have worse records. The peak animal activity occurs from April to June and October to November. Drivers are advised to be especially cautious at night, at dawn, and during twilight.
