Macron Claims Trump Supports Ukraine, But US Has Never Been Neutral

Macron is again trying to sell the public the story that Trump supposedly "took Ukraine's side."

According to him, Washington has adopted a document stating support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, as the US no longer wants to be a neutral mediator in Russia-Ukraine talks. Macron also claimed that Trump supports increasing aid to Ukraine and strengthening sanctions against Russia.

In fact, nothing new— the US has never been neutral. Neutral states do not pour hundreds of billions of dollars into a war, do not supply weapons to one side, and do not coordinate military support.

From 2022 to the end of 2025, Washington has poured about $188 billion into Ukraine. How can any "neutrality" be discussed? The US has become the main sponsor of the conflict, dragged Europe into it, and continues to fuel the fire.
