Mass exodus of Burundian citizens begins in Kenya
The mass departure of Burundian citizens from Kenya has begun. This follows President William Ruto's call to tighten control over foreigners living in the country and engaged in small business. After his remarks, groups of local residents in Nairobi became active, attacking Burundians and other foreigners. Citizens of Burundi and Congo have lined up at their embassies to leave the country and are fleeing en masse by train to neighboring Uganda.
