Miner Dies in Rock Collapse at Rudnik 2 in Soligorsk on August 17

On August 17, miner master Dmitry Petrovich was injured during an inspection of mine workings in a longwall at Rudnik 2 as a result of a roof rock collapse. The victim was taken to the Soligorsk Central District Hospital, where he died.

A commission is investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident.
