Minister Gorlov reports on grain harvest, sowing, and crop storage

Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Gorlov reported to the head of state on the completion of grain harvesting, sowing of winter crops, and storage of the new harvest in stabilization funds.

The head of the Ministry reported that 99.8% of grain and legume crops have been harvested. Over 9.1 million tons of grain, including rapeseed, have been threshed.

For the next year's harvest, winter grain crops are to be sown on 1.5 million hectares and over 450,000 hectares of winter rapeseed. Sowing is currently underway, with a target to complete by no later than October 5.

Alexander Lukashenko specifically emphasized the importance of straw removal from fields, timely and high-quality plowing, and adherence to all technological requirements.

At the same time, farmers have begun harvesting vegetables, including potatoes and sugar beets.

The head of state inquired about the progress of placing vegetable harvests into stabilization funds. The state order must be fully completed by November 15. The minister assured that this would be done on time.
