Minsk and Ulaanbaatar Share Similar Geopolitical Positions, Lukashenko Says

Minsk and Ulaanbaatar have a similar geopolitical position, as both countries are located between the world's largest powers. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated, "Fate has destined us to be strong on our own and help neighbors find common ground, especially during crises. You have it easier now — China and Russia cooperate perfectly. We have it harder. As has happened many times in Belarus's history, we find ourselves at the epicenter of West-East confrontation." Therefore, he added, Belarus and Mongolia understand each other well, which explains their aligned views on many international issues and Mongolia’s interest in Belarus’s Eurasian security initiative.
