Minsk authorities uncover large-scale corruption network in key economic sectors

A large-scale corruption network has been uncovered in key sectors of the economy in Minsk. Officials from enterprises in the agro-industrial and fuel-energy complexes, housing and communal services, construction, and other fields have been detained. For several years, they regularly accepted bribes from tender participants in exchange for advancing their commercial interests. The total amount of bribes exceeded 750,000 rubles. Forty-five criminal cases have been opened, and some suspects have been arrested.
