Minsk auto repair shop director sells customer's car for $7,000

The 40-year-old director of a Minsk auto repair shop took a Mazda CX-9 for repairs after an accident and later sold the vehicle to a resident of Brest, claiming he was acting on behalf of the owner. The buyer discovered the fraud after noticing transit license plates. The damage was estimated at 22,820 rubles. A criminal case has been opened. The car has been returned to the owner, and the money has been refunded to the buyer.
