Minsk doctors perform unique heart surgery at RNPC 'Cardiology'

Doctors in Minsk performed a unique heart surgery at the RNPC 'Cardiology'. The patient, who had undergone surgery back in 1984, required replacement of an old corrective ring. Since repeat open surgery was risky, doctors opted for a minimally invasive transcatheter method. Through a small puncture, a new valve was implanted directly into the previously installed prosthesis. The operation was successful.
