Minsk has nearly a million cars — authorities seek ways to reduce traffic jams

About 850,000 to 860,000 vehicles are registered in the capital, and another 100,000 to 110,000 in the Minsk district. One of the options currently being considered is a paid entry into the city center. However, a complete ban on cars is not planned.

At the same time, authorities plan to build new interchanges and analyze sections where public transport movement can be improved.
