Minsk man sentenced to 2.5 years in colony for rehabilitating Nazism

A 36-year-old man from Minsk with a prior criminal record was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in a strict-regime penal colony for rehabilitating Nazism. In December 2025, he posted a message in an open Telegram channel containing a positive assessment of Adolf Hitler. The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 130-1 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The man was also subjected to compulsory measures for drug addiction treatment.
