Minsk Once Again Becomes Center of Chess Diplomacy
The second international tournament "Chess for Peace" has concluded in the capital of Belarus. The event was held as part of the first UN Peacebuilding Week and coincided with the Organization's Charter Day. Around 230 participants from various countries, including Germany, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Romania, and Slovakia, competed for victory. At the closing ceremony, representatives of the UN and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with heads of more than ten diplomatic missions, joined all participants to summarize the results of the tournament.
