Minsk Region Completes Main 2026 Grain Harvest, Leads Belarus

🌾🏆 The Minsk region has successfully completed the main grain harvest campaign of 2026 and emerged as the leader among Belarusian regions.

By September, farmers in the central region had harvested over 2.4 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed.

A new phase is now beginning: sowing of winter crops is just starting. Soil preparation is underway, with approximately one-quarter of the fields already plowed.

❗️However, there are shortcomings: one-fifth of the fields remain uncleared of straw after harvesting—about 100,000 hectares, of which straw still lies in swaths on 70,000 hectares.
