Minsk to switch fully to LED street lighting by 2030

Minsk will fully switch to LED street lighting by 2030. Currently, LED lamps account for about 45% of the capital's 120,000 streetlights. In 2026, around 11,800 old fixtures are planned to be replaced, primarily on the Minsk Ring Road and Independence Avenue. The transition to LEDs is expected to reduce energy consumption by approximately 40%. Meanwhile, "Mingorosvet" will also work on holiday lighting in the city's streets and parks.
