Minsk woman who hit 11-year-old girl with BMW to stand trial

A Minsk woman who was driving a BMW and hit an 11-year-old girl will stand trial. The accident occurred in March when the car, turning from Independence Avenue onto Zhazminovaya Street, drove onto the sidewalk, struck the schoolgirl, then crashed into a building's porch and overturned. The driver claimed she lost consciousness while driving. Investigators found that she had felt unwell before the crash and was aware of a chronic illness. According to the Investigative Committee, surveillance cameras recorded that the woman was conscious when making the turn.
