Minsk Zoo checks lions' winter readiness

An inspection was conducted at the Minsk Zoo to assess the lions' readiness for winter. This followed a public concern about insufficient space and lack of heating in the enclosure. The applicant doubted that the conditions were suitable for keeping the animals through the winter in Belarus's climate. The inspection showed that the indoor section is insulated, equipped with a heated floor and a resting area with fresh bedding. The enclosure also includes a heated shelter cabin.
