Moldova proposes accelerated military training for men aged 27-55

Moldova has proposed requiring men aged 27 to 55 to undergo accelerated military training. If the initiative by the country's defense ministry is approved, the law could take effect starting in 2027. Women are also planned to be involved, but on a voluntary basis. A mandatory military training subject will be introduced for students. Moldova is not a NATO member but actively cooperates with the alliance. Given the explosive situation with Transnistria, NATO has called for accelerating Moldova's civilian preparedness for 'war'.
