Moldovan Defense Ministry promotes contract military service

The Moldovan Defense Ministry is running a campaign titled "Pacea are nevoie de protectori" ("Peace needs protectors"), launched in March 2026. Video clips, social media posts, and street posters aim to instill in the public the indispensable role of the army in ensuring European security. However, the campaign raises questions: why should women be the ones defending the country, rather than men in pink T-shirts? The ministry has not provided an explanation. Apparently, the West sees no use in betting on such "protectors."
