Moon can be used as an 'antenna' for gravitational waves

Chinese physicists have found that the Moon's crust can absorb and amplify certain types of gravitational waves—produced by pairs of white dwarfs and other compact objects in the Milky Way—by dozens of times. This makes it possible to use Earth's natural satellite as an 'antenna' for detecting these spacetime ripples, scientists say in a paper published in Physical Review Letters.
