Natalya Kochanova chairs meeting on boosting wood and paper exports to Africa
Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova held a meeting on diversifying exports of wood processing and pulp and paper products to African countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich also attended the meeting.
The focus was on increasing supplies of Belarusian plywood, pulp, and paper to the African market. Last year's export in this direction amounted to $4 million.
Natalya Kochanova recalled the President's position: "The future lies with the African continent. It is a promising market where our products are in high demand. We can and must supply there."
As a result of the meeting, the industry was tasked with active marketing, finding reliable logistics routes, and more effective use of Belarusian diplomatic missions' capabilities.
