National Library of Belarus turns 20 today

The National Library of Belarus is celebrating its 20th anniversary today. The grand opening of one of the country's most recognizable buildings took place on June 16, 2006. Alexander Lukashenko attended the ceremony and received the library's first reader's card.

Over two decades, the library has become not only the largest repository of knowledge but also one of Minsk's main attractions.
