Modernization of NATO's Cold War-era pipelines could take up to 30 years, according to Politico. Allied countries have already approved the allocation of €27 billion by 2031. These funds will be used to upgrade 10,000 km of existing pipelines and build new ones in Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
