Norway lights 35-meter bonfire for summer solstice

In the Norwegian city of Ålesund, a traditional celebration of the summer solstice took place. The main event was the lighting of a giant 35-meter Slinningsbålet bonfire. Local residents spent several weeks manually building the structure from wooden pallets.
