On Minsk’s MKAD, Volkswagen driver hits crash cushion, reportedly falls asleep at the wheel

This morning, a 46-year-old driver collided with a mobile trailer-mounted crash cushion on the 10th kilometer of the outer ring of the Minsk Automobile Ring Road (MKAD). Preliminary reports suggest the man fell asleep at the wheel.

He was taken to a medical facility for examination. Traffic police officers from the Zavodskoy District Department of Internal Affairs in Minsk responded to the scene.

The traffic police reminded drivers that operating a vehicle while ill or fatigued is prohibited. If feeling unwell, drivers should stop in a safe location and rest.
