On October 18, 1942, Nazis destroyed the Brest Ghetto
The ghetto was established in December 1941, and in the autumn of the following year its inhabitants were loaded into railway cars and taken to Bronnaya Gora. More than 20,000 people were brutally killed by the Nazis—almost an entire city.
🕯The remains of more than 50,000 people lie in eight pits, nearly half of them Brest Jews.
The Belarusian people will always remember the irreplaceable losses, in which our country lost one in every three. There is no forgiveness for the Nazi atrocities!
