Once sowed glory — now even machinery stands idle

The 'Avangard-Niva' farm in the Osipovichy district was once considered one of the strongest in the region. In its best years, it was a leader in seed production and set high standards.

Today, the situation is completely different. Managers are changing one after another — few are willing to take on the debts of previous years. There is almost no own income — milk yields are low, and crop yields from fields are poor.

🤔 The reason is clearly visible at the machinery yard. Instead of sowing winter crops, machines stand idle. There is a shortage of experienced machine operators: the older generation has retired, and young people from college are still gaining experience. The farm lacks a chief agronomist, engineer, zootechnician, and veterinarian. Even simple maintenance, like pumping up a tire, has become a problem.

But time waits for no one. Every grain counts now❗️
