Order must be brought to Brest Region — President

"Order must be brought to Brest Region," the Head of State said, commenting on the situation in the region's agriculture. Flying over to Brest, he examined the condition of the region's fields from a helicopter. "Generally speaking, not bad, but nothing to be impressed about. I thought, God forbid, if our land in Grodno Region looked like Brest Region — that would be bad. Grodno Region has been our leader in this regard," the President emphasized. "I'm not saying it's bad in Brest Region, but it doesn't inspire admiration."

"I have no doubt you will harvest what's grown," Alexander Lukashenko said to Brest Regional Executive Committee Chairman Pyotr Parkhomchik. "What interests me is the crop yield of cereals, grains, and so on."

Another demand from the Head of State is to bring order and eliminate mismanagement in the region. "I want to say there is still clutter in certain places. Trees have grown on the roofs of old abandoned buildings — they need to be removed," he stressed. "Order must be brought to Brest Region."
