Over 1,000 evacuated in Chinese city of Chongqing due to landslide
More than a thousand residents of the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing were evacuated due to a landslide. Ten people have been rescued from under the debris, according to China Central Television (CCTV). More than ten houses have been destroyed. To prevent possible accidents, authorities have cut off water, power, and gas supplies within a one-kilometer radius of the incident site. According to CCTV, the landslide was caused by an earthquake that occurred on Friday morning.
