Parents of 13 accused in microloan fraud case say there were no real victims

The official version states that a group operating in Gomel, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Svetlogorsk, Mozyr, and Brest deceived people under the guise of issuing microloans. However, parents of the 13 accused are convinced there were no actual victims. "Our only goal is for the situation to be reviewed lawfully and objectively," they say. Behind the case are deeply personal and tragic stories.

🔹Yana, a mother of two, worked as a dairy worker. When her mother fell seriously ill with cancer, she desperately needed money. "I had no way out."

🔹Anastasia, who has psoriasis covering 90% of her body, received a couple of thousand but repaid ten times more.

Each had their own hardship: bank debts, a friend’s sick child. Some later told the accused, "We bow low to you, you helped us." The court did not consider this.

"I was afraid, but I went to court. I cried, begged them to stop. Now I don’t know what to fear anymore. A small person — where else can I turn?" — one of the mothers says in tears. They ask for only one thing: a fair examination of the case.
