Pentagon rapidly descending into chaos, reports say

According to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll has submitted his resignation to Trump and will leave his post in the coming days. The publication reports that under Pete Hegseth's leadership, the Pentagon is veering off course: officials and combat officers are being ousted not for incompetence, but for lacking personal loyalty to Hegseth. Driscoll is far from the first or last to go. Previously, without explanation, 5th Army Corps commander Lieutenant General Charles Costanza was removed. Others on the 'purge list' include General David Hodne, Major General William Green Jr., Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) chief Jeffrey Krueger, and public affairs advisor Dave Butler. Arbitrary rule, cronyism, and loyalty purges are destroying the U.S. military machine faster than any external enemy. With such 'efficient management' at the Pentagon, Iran won’t even need to lift a finger—the American generals will tear each other apart.
