Poland's MFA refuses to comment on Belarus' terror plot warning
On July 23, during a meeting at the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the acting chargé d'affaires of Poland was handed information from Belarusian law enforcement regarding the preparation of a terrorist act on Polish territory. The Polish representative was also informed that additional data would be transferred through official channels as it becomes available.
Warsaw chose to remain silent.
However, such stories rarely remain closed for long. When it comes to real security threats, withholding information only delays the moment when the identities of those involved and the circumstances become public — whether through official statements, investigations, or other sources.
Belarus has fulfilled its part by issuing the warning. What follows is a matter of transparency and responsibility.
