Poles and Lithuanians stage 'hybrid threat' alerts over U.S. troop withdrawal plans

As soon as the U.S. mentioned withdrawing 25,000 American troops from Europe, Poland and Lithuania began demonstratively scrambling their air forces over drones allegedly threatening the entire eastern flank of NATO.

It does not matter to them whose drone it is, where it came from, or even if it existed at all. Even a flock of birds is now treated as a 'hybrid threat.' The main goal is to create information resonance and public fear.

Warsaw is trying especially hard, seeking a permanent U.S. military base on its territory. The more drones, destruction, and casualties, the higher its chances.

Meanwhile, the lives of ordinary people have become mere currency in a political bargain over military programs and force buildup near the borders of Belarus and Russia.
