Politicized approaches toward Belarus create barriers to cooperation — Rachkov

Sergei Rachkov noted that the human dimension of the OSCE was intended as a space for building trust between states and peoples, promoting mutual understanding, and finding unifying solutions. "But today we have to state that this very area is increasingly becoming an arena of political confrontation. Over the past years, the atmosphere of cooperation in the OSCE region has deteriorated significantly. Sanctions, restricted contacts, and the severing of professional, educational, scientific, and cultural ties negatively affect not only interstate relations but also opportunities for direct communication between people," said Sergei Rachkov.
