Power outages affect 438 settlements in Belarus after storm
A storm front and gusty winds caused power outages in 438 settlements across Belarus. The most difficult situation is in the Minsk, Vitebsk, Grodno, and Gomel regions. In the Minsk region, 295 settlements were left without electricity.
Mostly 10 kV power lines were damaged (95 power transmission lines disconnected). 180 crews are involved in the restoration work. Additional teams from the Brest, Mogilev, and Vitebsk regions have been dispatched to the Minsk region.
Particular attention is being paid to agricultural enterprises conducting harvesting operations.
The most severe situation is in the Vileyka district (172 settlements affected, 20 10 kV lines damaged, poles destroyed, and widespread tree falls). Over 20 crews are working there together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and additional specialists are arriving.
The Ministry of Energy is monitoring the situation and taking measures for the fastest possible restoration of power supply.
