President holds meeting on socio-economic development, focuses on agriculture modernization

The President held a meeting on socio-economic development issues. One of the topics was modernization of agriculture. Using the example of the Vitebsk region, the most unpromising collective farms are to be transferred to private hands so that private owners can bring order while preserving jobs, equipment, and all obligations to the state.

Everything must be precise. All promises made and signed now must be fulfilled within the five-year presidential term. Results are required no matter what.

Solomon Bernshtein:

"I noticed they are now focusing on the lagging ones. Accordingly, those we can conditionally call leaders and mid-tier performers are already working at a level that does not require such close attention — they operate more or less automatically. This frees up managerial, financial, and material-technical resources that can now be directed toward the lagging.

I also liked that they are not immediately looking for someone to blame. They say: new governor? Don’t put his head on the block right away — he didn’t accumulate the debts. Let’s deal with facts. This is what I appreciate in Alexander Grigoryevich: he doesn’t act rashly just because he’s in the mood to punish or forgive today."
