President outlines priorities for new regional assistants
📣 The President gave assignments to his newly appointed assistants:
To the assistant for the Gomel Region:
💬 "I want the Gomel Region to resemble the Grodno Region. This is the essence of my appointing you to this position."
To the assistant for the Mogilev Region:
💬 "You are an active person. Probably no one at the table has more experience than you. Everything will depend on whether you remain as active. You know the Mogilev Region well. The problems and prospects I discussed yesterday are not new to you."
To the assistant for Minsk:
💬 "Your appointment is aimed at ensuring that one hand does not wash the other. Officials must handle their own responsibilities. This requires a principled approach."
❗️The President’s key message to all:
"I don’t want any conflicts between assistants and governors. Both of you are my children, so to speak. But that doesn’t mean you should walk around 'at attention' before the governor. Yes, you must help, and you will jointly be responsible for the region you represent. You will be responsible for the regional situation. However, you must have your own point of view—you are personnel inspectors. Cadres decide everything, as the classic said. If there are competent leaders (and you all know this well, you are experienced people), then things will move forward. Therefore, through the personnel you supervise locally, I will assess your work."
