President sets priorities during education minister's report
During the report by Minister of Education Andrei Ivantsov, the President emphasized key issues:
School meal organization
"We agreed that we need to ensure we no longer worry about school meals or discuss this issue at the presidential level. This task was set before the government and you."
There is no need for restaurant-style menus. Children must be properly fed during lunch. All necessary resources are available.
Academy of Intellectual Technologies
"We must create a solid center where the most talented and capable people will study. I stress — people. This does not mean we will only admit 11th-grade graduates, even if they are talented. We must avoid that."
The President clarified that people of any age can propose ideas, get a chance to implement them, and ultimately create products needed by society, the economy, and the state.
Employment of young specialists
"This does not mean we must carry them in our arms. No one carried me, and no one carried you — we climbed through life on our own. But we must help them somewhere."
Master's programs
"We have decided not to blindly follow Western standards. But if there is something reasonable — we will adopt it."
