President signs law on changes to road activity regulations

The President has signed the Law 'On Amendments to Laws on Road Activity'.

The document aims to create a modern legal framework to ensure the economy and population have access to quality, safe, and reliable transport services.

The law defines the rights, responsibilities, and liabilities of owners and users of public roads.

In particular, an information fund in the field of road activity will be established to provide up-to-date data on road construction and repair. The law sets specific requirements for the development of project documentation, construction, reconstruction, operation, and major repairs of highways, and formalizes principles for determining cost estimates.

Furthermore, the regulations governing road operation are clarified, including rules for organizing and conducting diagnostics of roads and road structures, as well as legal provisions for road activities concerning emergency and pre-emergency structures.
