President of Belarus addressed newly appointed heads of regional executive committees, emphasizing strict personal oversight and high expectations for local development. Speaking about the Petrikov District, he highlighted his long-standing personal interest in the region, noting that life there has improved significantly. "You understand that I visit there multiple times. I watch very closely over the Polissya region and its development. This was once my pain. Now I am glad that people live there more or less decently," the President said. He stressed that while there are ample opportunities for work and self-actualization in Petrikov, "I promise you no easy life."

Regarding the Oshmyany District, the President admitted he has not been able to visit as often as he would like, but pledged to correct this. "I keep setting the task to visit more frequently, though it doesn’t always work out. But I will fix this shortcoming. So, get moving," he urged the local leadership.

The appointment of new heads of regional executive committees (rayispolkoms) is part of an ongoing administrative reshuffle in Belarus, often accompanied by direct presidential guidance. The President has historically maintained close control over regional governance, frequently visiting localities and evaluating performance personally. Regions like Polissya (Polesie) have been prioritized for development due to their strategic and ecological significance.
