Rare protected mushroom found in Borovlyany, measuring over 40 cm in diameter

On September 20, a resident of Borovlyany, Igor Severin, found a curly sparassis mushroom right next to a busy pedestrian path. This mushroom usually grows to a maximum of 30 cm in diameter. The curly sparassis is listed in the Red Book; picking it carries a fine of 20 to 30 base units. It is also known as the 'ram's head mushroom' or 'cauliflower mushroom'.
