Record Auction: T. rex Skeleton Sold for $50 Million

A complete T. rex skeleton named Gus was sold at Sotheby’s in New York, setting an absolute record among all dinosaurs ever sold.

Previously, the record was held by another Tyrannosaurus — Stan, which was purchased for $32 million in 2020.
