Reflecting Pool in Washington turned green again after renovation
It took several weeks to repaint the bottom of the Reflecting Pool, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the U.S. capital. Trump had demanded the pool be blue, like the star field on the American flag, arguing that people complained about its appearance and dirty water, hinting it resembled a swamp under Obama. On June 5, the pool was refilled after renovation. Within a week, algal bloom became clearly visible on the bottom. The pond returned to its familiar green hue.
