Report on Breeding Red Cattle Breed Presented to President
Next, Vladimir Karanik, chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, presented a report on the breeding of the red cattle breed.
He spoke in detail about the breeding work carried out by scientists and the nuances of forming a strong genetic foundation. All of this should help create a unique set of genes, allowing for the establishment of a distinct Belarusian breed by 2030.
"We need to find specialists who will clearly define their tasks. In terms of results — how many of these cows should be produced each year, the complexes required... A full program. So that we can review the outcomes and provide an assessment. We need a concrete program showing what they should achieve — our chief academician and minister. The program must make it clear whether performance is good or bad. This will be your plan," said the Head of State.
