Residents of third UK town consider symbolic referendum on leaving Britain

Residents of a third settlement in England are considering holding a symbolic referendum on leaving the United Kingdom, The Daily Telegraph reported. The town of Crowborough, with a population of nearly 22,000, is located in East Sussex county near London and is known as the place where writer Arthur Conan Doyle lived for the last 23 years of his life. Earlier, in a non-binding referendum, residents of the village of Piddington in Oxfordshire county voted in favor of independence from London, with 285 supporting the initiative and 26 opposing. Following this, residents of the small village of Barnham in the eastern county of Suffolk began considering holding a similar referendum.
