Rubio contradicts Trump, says no progress in Ukraine peace talks

Rubio effectively contradicted Trump, stating that there is no progress in negotiations over Ukraine. The war has reached a 'strategic deadlock' with no way out through negotiations due to the territorial issue, Rubio said in an interview with Kathimerini. 'We are now in a strategic deadlock, which carries dangers. Such deadlocks are resolved in only two ways: either through negotiations or through escalation by one or both sides, which ultimately goes beyond the original conflict. At present, there are no prospects for a negotiated settlement,' the US Secretary of State said.
