Seller of the Mikhailovs' apartment tells how he got the property and what happened after sale
He explained that he was given the apartment as an orphan — it had been privatized but stood empty for several years, and he did not know what to do with it. When buyers appeared, it was good news, because no one in their right mind would buy a building constructed in 1956.
The Mikhailov family made significant renovations: in one apartment — a staircase, loft, wardrobe, balcony, and porch; in the other — an extension and a mansard. For the first apartment, the necessary permits and project documentation were obtained, although the staircase was ultimately built differently from the approved plan.
For the second apartment, no permits were obtained — it was completely rebuilt without authorization.
🤩Neighbors did not give consent for legalizing the changes, but the seller notes that inspections were carried out, a fine for illegal construction was issued, and safety standards were not violated, so the property may still be approved for use.
