September Brings Changes for Belarusians, Including Minimum Wage and Pension Increases
September traditionally brings a number of changes for Belarusians. The basic wage rate in the country has been raised to 300 rubles — the second increase this year. This will lead to higher salaries for 770,000 public sector employees. By the decision of the Head of State, as of September 1, all types of labour pensions have been increased — old-age, service-length, disability, and survivor pensions. As a result of recalculation, the average labour pension amount has risen by 5 percent.
